The chief quality officer (CQO), also known as quality director, is the person that is generally responsible for product quality in a manufacturing plant, and he should not only master quality control, but also be skilled in interpersonal communication. The CQO shall understand basic quality management philosophy, and then schedules and implements quality improvement procedures, thus integrating quality control awareness in to the enterprise culture. In this way, quality management will help manufacturers survive in the fierce market competition.

On the evening of August 31st 2012, some officers of General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People’s Republic of China awarded CQO Certificate to 10 quality directors (from ten enterprises), including Tianyang. Then, our chairman, Mr. Jianzhong He, along with the president of COFCO (China Oil & Foodstuffs Corporation) and the general manager of CASIC (China Aerospace Science & Industry Corporation), issued Letter of CQO Appointment, making Tianyang the first Chinese seamless steel tube manufacturer that put CQO institution into use.
